Potter County GOP chair resigns: Sites increased work obligations

On Tuesday, the Potter County Republican Party announced that chairman Bill Bandy has resigned for the position. Daniel L. Rogers was elected by the Potter County GOP's executive committee to replace Bandy.

Bandy cited increased business and work obligations as the reason for his resignation.

"Increased business and work obligations require me to be out of Amarillo and Potter County during business hours. I wish all the best to Dan Rogers and the Party," Bandy said.

The Potter County GOP wished Bandy well and congratulated Rogers on being elected the new chairman.

"We at Potter County want to thank Bill Bandy for his leadership during the Primaries, and through our Precinct and County Conventions. While we are saddened that he has resigned as Chairman, we wish him all the best in his endeavors.

"Join us in congratulating Daniel L. Rogers, our new Potter County Republican Party Chairman, as voted on by members of the executive committee pursuant to the governing bylaws," the Potter County GOP said in a statement.
