Police arrest second suspect in connection to 2016 murder of mother and unborn child

Amarillo police have arrested Jessica Lynn Black in connection with the 2016 murder of Charlesetta Telford, and her unborn child.

Black was located in the 2600 block of South Bowie and arrested for her warrant. She was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.

On 6-20-16, at 9:50 pm, Amarillo police officers were sent to 5900 Plum Creek on a shooting.  There was a report that the victim was down in the apartment complex.

Officers located Telford, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds.  She was taken to a local hospital where she and her unborn child later died.

On February 11, 2018, investigators of the Special Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant for Anthony Dwion Richards, 31, in the shooting death of Telford and her unborn baby on June 20, 2016.  Richards was charged with capital murder and booked into the Potter County Correction Center.

Richards remains in custody on a $500,000.00 bond.
