Hereford ISD asking voters to approve $22.4 million bond referendum

Hereford ISD
Hereford Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a $22.4 million bond referendum on the November 6th election ballot.

Hereford ISD utilized facility committee meetings from 2015 & 2017 bond proposals, information from the 2005 TASA facility study, survey results from 2017 failed bond and input from April/May 2018 campus meetings to define the projects for the proposed 2018 bond.

The 2018 Bond package includes:

Safety and Security (building upgrades to include ADA and code compliance, identified structural concerns, general safety repairs and secure entrances)

Aikman – $1,960,627.20

Bluebonnet – $3,540,544.00

Northwest – $3,869,275.20

West Central - $369,600.00

HJH/HPA - $5,464,211.20

HHS/HCAL/CTE – $1,528,542.40

Campus total = $16,732,800.00

New Field house, restrooms and concession stand

New Restroom/Concession @ softball/tennis courts and lighting at all of these venues - $1,000,000

This includes architectural fees, minimal furnishings, anticipated asbestos testing and abatement.

Total = $22,400,000
