Buffs remain at No. 5 in latest poll

West Texas A&M stayed at fifth in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II Top 25 released on Tuesday afternoon. The Buffs are currently one of 25 undefeated teams in the nation after wins over Oklahoma Panhandle State and University of the Southwest at last week's WT Pak-A-Sak Thanksgiving Classic.

The top six teams remained the same led by Northwest Missouri State, who picked up all 16 first-place votes, followed by Nova Southeastern, Bellarmine, UC San Diego, WT and UC San Diego. Alabama Huntsville moved up to seventh after Valdosta State dropped out of the Top 25 after a pair of losses last week. Lincoln Memorial is eighth with Southern Indiana in ninth and Ashland in 10th.

The Lone Star Conference is one of two conferences with three teams in the Top 25 led by the Buffs at No. 5 with St. Edward's in 17th and Dallas Baptist moving up three spots to 19th while Angelo State is receiving votes.

WT finishes its four-game home stand on Friday, Dec. 6, when they host Oklahoma City on Education Day at the First United Bank Center. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m.
