Lady Buffs move up to No. 17 in latest poll

The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs ran their win streak to seven games this past weekend as they jumped four spots to 17th in this week's edition of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top-25 Poll announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Drury picked up 12 of the possible 23 first place votes to sit atop of the poll with 560 points followed by Lubbock Christian (11 first place, 557), Grand Valley State (523), Azusa Pacific (496), Fort Hays State (480), Ashland (460), Lee (425), Saint Anslem (409), California, Pa. (385) and Virginia Union (308) to round out the top ten. The South Central Region was represented by Lubbock Christian (2nd), Texas A&M-Commerce (12th), West Texas A&M (17th), Westminster (18th) and Tarleton (RV).

The Lady Buffs conclude their five-game homestand on Thursday night as they welcome the Oklahoma Panahandle State Aggies to the First United Bank Center with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. in Canyon.
