Lady Buffs move back into Top 25

The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M has re-entered the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top-25 poll announced on Tuesday morning by the association's offices in Luling, Georgia.

Drury picked up 14 of the possible 23 first place votes to remain atop of the poll with 564 points followed by Lubbock Christian (nine first place, 560), Ashland (532), Grand Valley State (456), Virginia Union (447), Texas A&M-Commerce (444), Alaska Anchorage (405), Indiana, Pa. (404), Lee (396) and North Georgia (356) to round out the top ten.

The South Central Region was represented by Lubbock Christian (2nd), Texas A&M-Commerce (6th), Westminster (17th), West Texas A&M (25th) and Colorado Mesa (RV).

The Lady Buffs return to the friendly confines of the First United Bank Center this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference divisional matchups beginning on Thursday night against the rival Belles of Angelo State in a rematch of last year's Regional Semifinals with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Canyon.
